Limerick

A Limerick consists of five lines.
The first line of a limerick poem usually begins with 'There was a....' and ends with a name, person or place.
The last line of a limerick is normally a little farfetched or unusual.
A limerick should have a rhyme scheme of aabba:

This means lines 1,2 and 5 rhyme and lines 3 and 4 rhyme.
Also, lines 1,2 and 5 should have 7 – 10 syllables and lines 3 and 4 should have 5 – 7
syllables.
An example of a Limerick Poem by famous poet Edward Lear
'There was an old man with a beard Who said, 'It is just as I feared, Two owls and a hen A lark and a wren Have all built their nests in my beard!

-----------------------LIMERICKS I MADE-----------------------

There was a little pink fairy
Who yielded gifts in variety
A toy or a candy
Kids then are dandy
They behave coz of this fairy.

There was a baron from Wellington

Who bought a keepsake in Houston
A black vintage frock coat
That costs a hundred groat
He flew back gaily in Wellington.

Living with Humility

Sometimes it makes me disheartened when someone makes me feel this way "Hey, you only reach that standing, you didn't have anything, so it's better to look us up." Even if they didn't put those into words, I could feel it, because I'm just a human, I am created to have feelings. Feelings not only for happiness but to be hurt as well.

It also makes me hurt when they tell me that "you and your family must envy us, because we had better things than you have. You don't have this, that, and those" Why did they have to include my family? It lets me think that, what and why should I envy? Is it their latest gadgets? Their state-of-the-art appliances? Do I have to bother myself with these things? Besides, it’s just earthly way of life. I always believe that as long as my family, my faith and my values are there, Our Father, will never let me perish.

I wished that people nowadays would remember that degrees, clothes, gadgets, and compensation are not the things measured on as a person, and how a person seeks with others, whoever and whatever you are. In the eyes of Father Almighty were all equal and the same, the way he created us, children of his.

To those people who know me, especially for those people I love and who love me: When time comes that fate agreed upon your plans. If you had have your life even better than before. Never ever forget those people who are the reason why you're there on your current standings, even they are good or harsh the way they deal with you. Never let the air to flow inside your head. Never let earthly desires defeat your innate values. I'm not saying this to upbraid but I really adore people who knew how to say thanks, and acknowledge gratitude. These abstract things, such as our faith, values, and love from family are the things that would never be taken away from a person.

Latest News and Trends: Just Smile and Click

In this era, Selfie is one of the trends that influence and conquer every human being's life. There are lot of Selfies; it may be a Selfie of your meal for that day, your pet, your new clothes, haircut, or anything under the sun that is new for the eyes.

Even Selfies become part of our lives in present day, nevertheless man could never ever forget his past. That's why throwback Thursday and flasback Friday was born, wherein someone reminisces their past life using photographs. That most often than not are taken using cameras that need films with limited shots(12, 24,36, 48) to be able to capture someone's most precious moment.

Today, as tablets, android phones, and photo enhancers applications invade us. Everyone now can make his or her self-portrait in an instant. The fun-part of making Selfies is that one can make faces. They can have happy, sad, or wacky poses that friends, families, loved ones or by your own can cherished and shared upon.

I also consider myself a Selfie captor. I believe that we don't need a bill that prohibits someone from taking photographs. I hoped that those bill authors be enlightened by the fact that there are other problems to focus on. Right?

It was one of the cheapest way we can indulge ourselves when there's free time and be a narcissist at some point of in our lives. But, being a Selfie captor, requires open-mindedness and limitations. Every captor must be responsible on what consequences they might face by their photographs.

As long as it doesn't violate someone's privacy. Feel free to take pictures of beautiful things.
As long as it doesn't contain malicious message particularly for stolen photographs. Feel free to click the camera.
As long as it doesn't disturb someone from doing his work, chores, and duties. Feel free to "say cheese".
As long as you ask permission upon capturing someone or something. Feel free to be a frustrated photographer. :)

Isn't it amazing? That after a day with negative vibes from your boss, a basher or a gossiper, we can still smile and click for a moment.
Isn't it cool? Even if we are stressed out by news about crimes and violence on our televisions, we can still smile and click for a moment.
Isn't it beautiful? Even if we are disheartened by calamities in every parts of the country, we can still smile and click for a moment.

That is one thing I'd love about Filipinos, smiling and optimists by mind, by actions, and most of all, by heart. so SMILE! CLICK!

Movie Review: "BRAVE" Bravery is All in the Heart

Brave is the first movie under Disney-Pixar with a female protagonist. it is made interesting with historical references and fantastical elements. the plot is similar to some of the famous mythical legends and epic battles that were passed on from generation to generation in Scotland.

Brave tells the story of Merida, a skilled archer who challenges destiny to change her fate. Merida is destined to be the next queen to reign their kingdom. her mother, Queen Elinor, is the main in-charge of changing Princess Merida into a modest lady. in contrast with what Princess Merida's character, she's bubbly, fierce and out-of-the-box type of princess.

Queen Elinor:And above all, a princess strives for...well, perfection!

Because of the unbearable rules of her mother, plus the fact that she was to marry one among three suitors chosen by her clan.Princess Merida soon got rid of her. She ride on her horse and control it as fast as she could. Then she found herself in woods where she discover a house filled with bear collections which is owned by a witch. Upon meeting the old witch, she begs her to make a magic spell which can change her mother. The result is a spell-bounded biscuit with disgusting taste. She let her mother ate that biscuit hoping for a change. In just a little time her mother change, but into a big bear. Immediately, Princess Merida return back to the woods to find the witch, but unfortunately the witch is will be gone for a long time. She just leave a message instructing Pricess Merida how to break the magic spell. She must remember these words; 'Fate be changed, look inside. Mend the bond torn by pride.' and say it with sincerity.

The movie weaves action, drama and a lot of humor into one grand adventure. The story is very catchy since Princess Merida led her life the way she wants it. She does not need a man to save her. She does not need anyone to change her life forever. I think it's about time that we watch a fairytale where the princess saves herself. Besides that, it is an emotional-filled film with important lesson in life. It takes a lot of courage to grow up and make your own fate. Bravery is all in the heart.

Though I believe in destiny, it doesn't mean that all things are destined to happened. We are the captain of our ships, we are the one who stirs the stirring wheel. We are the one who choose our pathway through our success or failure in life. We should not always depend our lives with destiny, fortune or luck. Remember that its always the self-upbringing, mindset and actions, why we become who and what we are in present and in future time.
